The open letter published by the German weekly Die Zeit under the name 'Another War in Europe? Not in Our Names!' has been recently signed by the former Slovak President Rudolf Schuster. According to him, this appeal is trustworthy because of the signatures of prominent German politicians, whom he met when he worked in the past as a diplomat in Germany. In Slovakia this appeal is promoted by writer Jozef Banáš, who claims that he has been contacted by other people from Slovakia, who want to join the cause. In Germany this appeal has been supported by nearly 40,000 people.
