According to a survey carried out by YouGov agency, the biggest concern in Slovakia is potential rise in food prices. Some 43 percent of Slovaks claimed they are mostly worried about the store prices. “It's clear that many household budgets face constant financial pressure and, as a result, expenditures were curbed commensurately,” said Karin Rakova of Provident Financial, the mother company of YouGov agency.
The survey has also shown that the most concerned people live in Hungary where 80 percent of inhabitants fear the growing cost of living. In Mexico, on the other hand, people worry mostly about the potential rise in the crime rate in their neighborhoods (up to one-third of respondents).
