Prime Minister: Use of Deadly Force against Terrorists Appropriate

After the inexcusable failure of Afghan authorities and the joy of killing displayed by terrorist Lambar Chan, the use of deadly force by Slovak soldiers in similar situations will be more than appropriate, said Prime Minister Robert Fico. This was in reaction to the news of Lambar Chan, who murdered Slovak soldier Daniel Kavuliak in a terror attack, escaped from prison, going on to celebrate his act in a video posted on the internet.

“The investigation ascertained that Slovak soldiers in Kandahar acted in a professional way during the attack. They surely intended to apprehend the terrorist and turn him over to Afghan authorities for severe punishment, yet the response from Afghan bodies was a total failure of justice,” said Fico.
