94 percent of elderly spend Christmas with their families

As many as 94 percent of the elderly in Slovakia spend Christmas with their families, while 41 percent of all Slovaks stated that they spend Christmas Eve supper with their elderly, according to a poll featuring 500 respondents organized by publishing house Babickarstvo.sk. Apart from those who spend the ceremonial supper with their elderly relatives, another 14 percent visit them during some other part of the day on Christmas Eve, while 39 percent come on Christmas Day or Saint Stephen's Day.
