The Chairman of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) Jaromír Pastorek will probably lose his post after five years leading Slovak science. An extraordinary convention of SAV approved on Thursday a proposal for his dismissal, while the final decision has to be made by President Andrej Kiska. Approximately 62.5 percent of the members of the convention, which was making a decision about the removal of its head for the first time in history, voted for his resignation. Academics lost the confidence in their boss after they lost about two million euros from next year's budget.
