In November, consumer prices in Slovakia continued to stagnate for the second month in a row, while the average twelve-month inflation rate already reached negative 0.1 percent. This is confirmed by data on inflation measured by the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) of the European Union. Overall annual inflation in November was slowed in particular by a continuing fall of transport prices. They decreased by 2.8 percent compared to the same period of last year. Cheaper than a year ago were also food products and non-alcoholic beverages by 1.2 percent, housing, water, electricity and gas by 0.7 percent and postal services and communications by 0.4 percent. On the other hand, the highest annual growth was reported in prices of education by 2.8 percent.
