European Commission Tells Slovakia to Investigate Grants in Health Sector

The European Commission told Slovakia to verify the payment of over €2.8 million which was channelled into the health sector, otherwise the country will lose the money, writes the Hospodárske Noviny daily.

The reasons for the call are probably mistakes in public procurement. The audit of the Health Operating Program focused namely on tendering. The Health Ministry has to refute Brussels’ doubts within six months.
