Slovak MEPs support the signing of an agreement on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), according to their pronouncements made at a roundtable discussion organized by the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Slovakia and euractive.sk website in Bratislava. "The European Union analysed TTIP and found that it could secure more than €60 billion on an annual basis in its coffers, with every single billion of that sum possibly netting 10,000-15,000 jobs, that is to say, between 600,000-900,000 jobs in the EU in total, and another 750,000 jobs in the USA," said MEP Vladimír Maňka (Smer-SD), adding that he's in favour of the inking of the agreement. SDKÚ-DS MEP Ivan Štefanec said that the agreement is one of the biggest opportunities for the EU as a whole, including Slovakia, to boost the scope of the common market.
