As we reported yesterday, Slovakia has improved in fighting corruption, reaching 54th place in the Transparency International (TI) chart, Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák reiterated "Slovakia has been improving in recent years. Back in 2011, it was in 66th spot. It appears that the Interior Ministry's efforts to introducing laws against corruption, mainly in the sphere of prevention, have repaid," said Kaliňák. "These laws were adopted with the support of the Opposition; it appears that they've made sense," said Kaliňák. Nevertheless, Kaliňák isn't completely happy with the standings. "It'll be best when we'll have achieved the top ten. It's a motivation to go forward," said Kaliňák.
