Slovakia’s Q3 economic growth slowed slightly

Growth dynamics of the Slovak economy slowed somewhat in the third quarter of this year. The Slovak Statistics Office reported that the country's economy grew by 2.4 percent from July to September, while in the second quarter, GDP grew by 2.6 percent. On a year-on-year basis, however, economic growth in the third quarter accelerated by 0.9 percentage points. Growth of the Slovak economy continues to be driven by domestic demand, which increased year-on-year and by external demand which also went up. The growth of exports of goods and services slowed down while the growth of imports of goods and services accelerated slightly.
