Slovakia passed very well in the evaluation of budgets of the Eurozone member states. According to an assessment by the European Commission out on Friday, the 2015 budget drafts of only four Eurozone countries including Slovakia are fully in accordance with stringent European rules, said Slovak Finance Minister Peter Kažimír on the same day. "We're among four countries in the Eurozone whose budgets are ranked as the best of all. We're in company with Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. That's good company," said Kažimír. Slovakia's budgetary plan is fully compliant with the Stability and Growth Pact, and no major deviation from the path to a balanced budget is foreseen. Likewise, the EU's executive arm doesn't expect Slovakia's budget shortfall to exceed 3 percent of GDP in any of the next few years.
