Jaromír Ruda Given Thirteen Year Prison Sentence

The Banská Bystrica Regional Court sent former head of the Slovak Deaflympics Committee Jaromír Ruda behind bars for thirteen years due to his involvement in severe fraud. His behaviour caused damages of €1.6 million to the Bratislava-based company Transkontakt.

While the decision is final, Ruda’s defender Juraj Remšík said that they will be making a special appeal to the Supreme Court.
