Feasibility Study for Broad Gauge Railway Project

Feasibility Study for Broad Gauge Railway Project

Preparations for the project to extend the broad gauge railway line across Slovakia from Košice to Bratislava and Vienna will be the subject of an extended feasibility study. Its scope should cover the documentation for the strategic assessment of the project’s environmental impact, the documentation for the construction plan, and documentation for planning permission.

Martina Pavlíková, the spokesperson for ŽSR, the Slovak railway network operator, confirmed this on Tuesday. The feasibility study for the project of the broad gauge railway will be ordered by the company Breispur Planungsgesellschaft (BPG) in Vienna.
