New Slovak Record Set at Cibula Fest

The largest Czecho-Slovak music festival Cibula Fest (Onionfest) held in Holic (Trnava region) managed to create a new Slovak record, Slovak Records book publisher Igor Svítok said Saturday. “The attempt (to set a new record) of Slovaks and Czechs was successful,” said Svítok.

“It was a fun discipline: rope pulling, with as many people tugging on a single end of a rope as possible.” The organisers managed to get precisely 175 visitors to pull the rope. Some 7,000-8,000 visitors came to enjoy the communal experience of music concerts at a three-day festival.
