Theatrical performances in English are due to take place for only the second time everin Bratislava soon, with the Bridgin' Drama theatre set to put on the comedy Tajovsky Ruulezz! at the Zichy Palace seven times this summer, theatre PR manager Michaela Vrabova announced on Thursday. Tajovsky Ruulezz! is an English adaptation of Slovak writer Jozef Gregor Tajovsky's comedy 'Zensky zakon' (Woman's Law).
The first performances are set to be staged this coming Friday. “Our performances aren't only meant for foreign tourists, who will be able to familiarise themselves with our culture in this way, but also for people from Bratislava who want to practice their English,” said Vrabova, adding that another play in the repertoire will be Ivan Stodola's play 'Caj u pana senatora' (Tea with the Senator) later this year. Bridgin' Drama theatre was set up by Slovak and foreign English lecturers from the Bridge language centre in 2012.
