The growth rate of consumer prices in Slovakia in June slowed slightly to 1.6 percent according to the Slovak Statistics Office. The highest growth year-on-year was recorded in the prices of education, which rose by 7.1 percent.
Compared to last year’s June, food and non-alcoholic beverages became more expensive by 4.4 percent. The only sector where prices decreased last month was in transport with a drop of 1 percent.
