The ruling SMER-SD and the opposition Freedom and Solidarity Party (SaS) are the most affluent political parties in Parliament. Prime Minister Robert Fico‘s party’s assets exceeded €10.3 million last year which is two and a half times more than in 2011.
The liberal party of Richard Sulík defended its second place with €2.02 million. The opposition Slovak Christian and Democratic Union (SDKU-DS) dominates the table of liabilities as it owes more than €2 million.
