Slovakia counts 5 medals a day before the 2013 Summer Universiade , which is the Olympics for university students, closes its doors on Wednesday. Athletics has been the most successful discipline with one gold won by Martin Kučera in the men’s 400m hurdles and two silver medals brought by Jozef Repčik in the men’s 800m and hammer thrower Marcel Lomnicky.
Teams seemed hooked on bronze with the Slovak men’s K2 kayak in the 200m race and the men’s trap team stepping on the podium too.
