The Lonely Planet guide, the largest publisher of travel guides, ranked Piešťany spa in Central Slovakia among Europe’s 20 best spas with its natural hot springs. The guide characterised the historic spa as the largest Slovak spa town, with the mineral rich mud playing a pivotal role in treatments.
The guide mentions the spa’s location in lush green parklands, and draws attention to the Spa’s hotels.
