On Monday, Slovak cyclist Peter Sagan missed victory by a whisker in the second stage of the Tour de France but reached one of his goals this year by earning himself the green jersey for being the current overall leader in points.
It was his second such result in two days however the Slovak was somewhat disappointed from not winning, especially when the distance between him and the victorious Simon Gerrans was less than half a wheel. “I am going to enter Paris dressed in this green jersey,” said Sagan adding that he is still aiming for a stage victory this year.
