Slovakia is a small and compact country, so one doesn't need to travel much to discover several of its natural and cultural beauties, claims Slovak Tourism Agency (SACR) when speaking about Slovakia's attractions for tourists in the summer season. "Including rich summer programs prepared by individual towns and cities and tourism centers," said SACR spokesman Martin Šebesta, emphasizing the importance of Kosice being 2013 European Capital of Culture. Introducing anti-barrier touristic paths in the Tatra Mountains is also one of the new tourist projects. These paths have been under construction since 2007, and during the new summer season of 2013 eight of them will be opened to the public.
