The 100th running of the Tour de France will get under way on Friday, with just two Slovak riders to join the most gruelling and prestigious road race in the world. Peter Sagan is maybe now the better known of the two, and has been given number 11, his goal being to take the Green Jersey as top speedster. Peter Velits has been given number 159 and is more of a mountain specialist where he will compete for the Polka Dot Jersey, won last year by France’s Thomas Voeckler. Sagan won the top newcomer as well as the Green Jersey in last years’ edition of the Tour.
