The two Slovak climbers Peter Šperka and Anton Dobeš have been officially confirmed as victims of Saturday's terrorist attack in Pakistan. At a press conference in Bratislava Prime Minister Robert Fico announced the identity of the Slovak citizens confirmed dead by the acting consul in Iran.
“Slovakia has never been so affected by terrorism, such as in the case of these two dead Slovak climbers," said the prime minister. The government is prepared to cooperate in transporting the bodies back to Slovakia. The attack was carried out by suspected Muslim fundamentalists disguised as police officers. Police continue investigating the incident and have arrested several suspects.
