By 2017 health-care professionals, teachers, building specialists, accountants, and commercial animal breeders will be the professions in the highest demand in Slovakia according to the preliminary findings of a study done by the Centre for Labour, Social Affairs and Family in cooperation with various companies.
The supply problem for the aforementioned professions is of particular concern because these jobs are currently staffed by large numbers of people approaching retirement age. Young people, however, are not interested in them because they are usually not well paid.
