The Council of Europe rejected Slovakia’s candidates for the posts of judges at the European Court of Human Rights. These were Slovak Government’s representative before the European Court of Human Rights Marica Pirosikova, prosecutor at the Office of the Prosecutor General, Marek Tomasovic, and former Constitutional Court judge Jan Drgonec. The reasons for the rejection have not been made public.
