Slovakia Will Send First Draft Partnership Agreement to Brussels

Slovakia will send the first draft of the Partnership Agreement for the period from 2014 to 2020, which concerns the use of money the European Union (EU) funds in the next programming period, for assessment to the European Commission by the end of June. After the relevant Government Council acknowledged the document, its content still need to be finalized by incorporating comments raised by some entities. Ľubomír Vážny, Deputy Prime Minister for Investments, who is also responsible for the coordination of EU funds, confirmed this to SITA news agency.

”We should subsequently receive an opinion from the European Commission, and then we must draw up a report stating how we coped with their comments. We will incorporate some, while some, it seems to me, will not be incorporated,” Vážny said. After opening our position, according to Vážny negotiations would follow with the European Commission on the Partnership Agreement for the next seven years.
