Slovakia welcomed more than 300 000 foreign tourists in the first 3 months of this year. This is an increase in the number of visitors to the country by approximately 20 percent, according to information from the TASR press agency quoting the Transport, Construction and Regional Development Ministry.
As their data says, the number of nights tourists spend in Slovakia also increased and foreign tourism is in surplus and brought in approximately €21 million. As the spokesperson of the Ministry, Martin Kona claims the Ministry is currently fine-tuning a new strategy for the development of tourism hoping the there will be even more positive shifts in this area.
