Slovak diplomacy is helping connect the country’s scientists and innovators with potential international partners. The initiative was highlighted during the 42nd Innovation Day organised by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, which brought foreign diplomats to the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava.
The visitors learned about the Academy’s research, four patented innovations, quantum technologies and the new PERUN supercomputer. The inventions presented included solutions for biomedical applications, more efficient power electronics, environmental sensors and the restoration of historical artefacts.
State Secretary Rastislav Chovanec said the aim was not only to showcase Slovak scientific achievements but also to create concrete partnerships with universities, research centres and technology companies abroad.
