Slovakia has officially joined the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, which seeks to ensure the safe return of children illegally deported or forcibly displaced from Ukraine, as well as their reintegration and rehabilitation.
Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár said the decision reflects Slovakia's commitment to protecting children and upholding international humanitarian law. He also highlighted the country's existing assistance, including €300,000 for the reconstruction of school shelters in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, recreational stays for 195 Ukrainian children and the integration of nearly 17,000 Ukrainian children into the Slovak education system.
