Slovak judoka Vivien Vadovičová has won bronze in the under-52kg category at the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal. She defeated Belgium’s Viktoria Grigoryan in the bronze-medal bout, scoring a waza-ari and a yuko. The 17-year-old said she was delighted with her performance and described herself as “full of excitement”.
This is Slovakia’s second medal at the Games, following swimmer Matiáš Ondrej Krištof’s bronze in the 100m butterfly on Sunday.
