Slovak Parliamentary Speaker Richard Raši will attend commemorations marking the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution in Budapest on Friday. Invited by his Hungarian counterpart, Ágnes Forsthofferová, Raši said the visit would honour the victims of the uprising and strengthen relations between Slovakia and Hungary. The visit comes during Slovakia’s presidency of the Visegrad Group, with a meeting of V4 parliamentary speakers scheduled for November 12 in Bratislava. Discussions will focus on European competitiveness, energy and EU enlargement.
