Bratislava I Municipal Court court has remanded in preventive custody F. Sch. [name abbreviated due to legal reasons] for assaulting a nurse in the accident and emergency department at the hospital in Bratislava's borough of Kramáre.
The court made its decision on the grounds that the 63-year-old Austrian might continue criminal activity.
"The decision is not final, and the prosecutor has filed a complaint. The accused may file a complaint within the applicable deadline. The Bratislava Regional Court will rule on the matter once the case is delivered to it," court spokesperson Pavol Adamčiak said.
Bratislava University Hospital announced on Thursday, October 15, that a drunk man had physically assaulted a 23-year-old nurse in the emergency department of its Kramáre hospital on Tuesday, October 13.
The nurse sustained facial injuries, scratches, bruising and swelling, as well as psychological harm. Police charged a 63-year-old Austrian man in connection with the incident.
