Slovakia won seven medals at the European Shotgun Championships in Malakasa, Greece. Marián Kovačócy, Filip Marinov and Erik Varga claimed gold in the men’s trap trio, beating Croatia 3–2 in a shoot-off after the final ended 5–5.
The women’s trap trio team of Nikola Molnárová, Zuzana Rehák Štefečeková and Jana Špotáková took silver, losing 6–2 to Turkey in the final. Slovakia’s earlier medals included silver in the men’s trap, mixed trap and women’s skeet trio, as well as gold and bronze in the junior women’s trap solo event. Varga and Rehák Štefečeková also won silver together in the mixed trap.
The duo and trio events are new additions to the championship programme. Unlike traditional skeet and trap events, they use a knockout format.
