Slovak Football Team Defeats Moldova

The Slovak national football team won 4–0 away against Moldova in Tuesday's matchday 4 fixture of the Nations League (League C). Goals from David Strelec and Tomáš Suslov gave the visitors a two-goal lead in the first half, while Dávid Hancko and Lukáš Haraslín found the net after the break.

The Slovaks solidified their position at the top of Group 3; securing at least a point in their November home match against the Faroe Islands will guarantee their return to League B.

The "Sokoli", or Falcons, achieved their 20th victory under head coach Vladimír Weiss Sr. They lead the group with 10 points, six ahead of the second-placed Faroe Islands. Only the Faroe Islands can overtake the Slovak team, but they would need to beat Slovakia away on November 13 and also defeat Moldova. Even if the Slovaks fail to pick up a point against their Nordic opponents, they will have another chance three days later in Kazakhstan during the final match of this year's Nations League campaign.
