MPs on Wednesday morning began the tenth sitting day of the 61st parliamentary session by discussing the 'Vision Slovakia 2040' strategic document, which was drawn up by the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) in collaboration with other experts.
The document assesses the current state of Slovakia, identifies the core values essential for the future, presents possible development scenarios based on global megatrends, and sets out the key priorities for achieving the main objective: improving the quality of life for the people of Slovakia.
MPs are also expected to consider further proposals on Wednesday. For example, they are due to debate the government's draft bill on an integrated system for protection against radicalisation and mobilisation to violence. Among other things, this is intended to introduce regulations on social media for children under the age of 16 and to establish a mechanism for the coordinated assessment of risks of radicalisation and mobilisation to violence.
