The Czech and Slovak governments will hold another joint session in Bratislava on 10 November, Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš announced on Tuesday during a speech at a special emergency session of the Czech Parliament.
The Czech prime minister considers joint cabinet meetings useful, saying the ministers have much to discuss.
Babiš addressed the issue of joint session during a speech lasting several hours, in which he also listed what his government has managed to accomplish during the more than nine months since taking office. "After several years, we have resumed joint sessions of the Czech and Slovak governments. All the ministers were there. I think we have much to say to each other because there are many things that are good for us and vice versa. The second session will be held in Bratislava on 10 November," he claimed.
At the House session, which was convened at the initiative of the opposition in an attempt to pass a vote of no confidence in the government, Babiš also spoke about the Visegrad Four (V4: Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia). Babiš considers the format important, for example, in negotiations on the European budget and efforts to find a joint solution to high energy prices. He therefore welcomed the renewed meetings between the prime ministers of the V4 group.
