The Police Corps continuously monitors the security situation in Slovakia and, in cooperation with other security agencies and foreign partners, assesses potential threats. The police take the risks associated with the planning of sabotage or arson attacks extremely seriously and are implementing all necessary measures to protect the lives, health, and property of the public. At the same time, they have mechanisms in place to respond appropriately to any potential threats.
Roman Hájek, Spokesperson for the Police Corps Presidium, stated that, as part of the police operation "Drone," four individuals were charged with plotting an arson attack on a manufacturing plant in Haniska near Prešov. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are gathering and evaluating further evidence.
