Belgian rider Lennert Van Eetvelt claimed the overall title at the 70th edition of the Okolo Slovenska/Tour of Slovakia cycling race. The Lotto Intermarche rider also triumphed in the final fifth stage from Sliač to Kráľova hoľa. The fifth stage was dubbed "royal," as it culminated at Kráľova hoľa (word play kráľova – royal) — a location hosting the finish of a professional cycling race for the very first time.
Van Eetvelt confidently claimed his second stage victory at this year's Tour of Slovakia.
