Almost 18,000 children from Slovakia, Czechia, Poland and Austria will meet in Trnava on September 22 for the fifth annual Deň rešpektu, Day of Respect. The event will promote tolerance and raise awareness of bullying and hate speech against children. The programme at the Anton Malatinský Stadium will combine sport and music, including a symbolic football match featuring former international players such as 2014 World Cup winner Sami Khedira. Organizers hope to expand the initiative into a wider European format, while the event will also be broadcast live to reach children beyond the stadium.
