Slovak canoe slalom athlete Eliška Mintálová won silver in the women’s K1 event at the World Cup in Paris on Thursday. She completed the final without any penalties, finishing just 0.73 seconds behind Australia’s Jessica Fox.
It is Mintálová’s first medal since returning from maternity leave and her third World Cup podium overall. Her previous podium finish came in 2023, when she won a World Cup event in Spain. Fellow Slovak Zuzana Paňková finished seventh. The Paris event also counts towards qualification for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
