First Visit of Japanese Foreign Minister to Slovakia in 19 Years

Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár (Smer-SD) received Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi on Monday. This marks the first visit to Slovakia by the head of Japanese diplomacy in 19 years. The main topics of the bilateral talks were the further development of traditionally friendly Slovak-Japanese relations, the strengthening of political and economic cooperation, and the possibility of elevating mutual relations to the level of a strategic partnership.
