A heavy gale swept through southern Slovakia over the past weekend. Within minutes, it tore off roofs, snapped trees, and damaged cars, buildings, and power lines. Some municipalities declared a state of emergency and a crisis situation regarding electricity supplies. Approximately 4,500 households remain without power. According to a meteorologist, this storm caused more extensive damage than the supercell that struck Bratislava and its surrounding area on Thursday.
