Slovakia provided 4.9 million euros in humanitarian aid abroad in 2025, including 150 tonnes of material assistance. Ukraine was the largest recipient under the SlovakAid programme.
Material aid worth more than 1.5 million euros included two containerised water treatment plants, a tent camp, generators, IT equipment, clothing and food. Slovakia also provided 300,000 euros for shelters at educational facilities in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions and 500,000 euros to support the energy sector. Medical equipment worth more than 343,000 euros was also provided.
Assistance went to Iraq, Lebanon and other crisis areas. In 2026, five humanitarian projects worth almost 700,000 euros have so far been approved in Iraq, Lebanon and Ukraine, with additional material aid provided to Kenya, Lebanon and Moldova.
