ŠK Slovan Bratislava drew 1-1 with NK Celje in the first leg of their Champions League play-off. Roman Čerepkai opened the scoring in the 15th minute, just two days after joining the team. Milot Avdyli equalised shortly before half-time, and there were no further goals.
Slovan will try to secure a place in the Champions League league phase in the return leg in Slovenia on Wednesday, August 26, at 9 p.m.
The club is seeking its second appearance in the competition’s main phase, having played there once before, in the 2024/2025 season. The team that loses the tie will play in the Europa League league phase.
