Slovakia has recorded new all-time temperature records during the ongoing heatwave. On Thursday, temperatures reached 42.2 degrees Celsius in Dolné Plachtince, surpassing the previous record set just a day earlier in Kamenica nad Hronom. Temperatures above 40 degrees were measured at dozens of weather stations across the country, while Bratislava also experienced its hottest day on record. Meteorologists warn of possible storms in several regions, with heavy rain, strong winds and hail expected in some areas.
