Slovak logistics operator Railtrans International, or RTI, and Croatia’s HŽ Cargo are joining forces to create a new joint venture focused on intermodal freight transport. The company will link Croatian Adriatic ports with Central Europe, with a target of moving 500,000 tonnes of new cargo by 2028. RTI said the partnership will strengthen Croatia’s role as a key gateway for European supply chains in the southeast. The deal will give HŽ Cargo greater access to international transport corridors, while RTI will expand its presence across the Balkan region.
