Slovakia’s Foreign Ministry is monitoring the wildfire situation in Greece, Italy, France and Spain. So far, it has reported no Slovak citizens injured, evacuated or hospitalised. The most serious situation is on the Greek island of Crete, where wildfires continue to spread and around 100 registered Slovak citizens are currently staying. The Ministry also encourages travellers to register before going abroad, as it allows consular services to provide faster assistance in emergencies.
