Opposition party PS deputy leader Ivan Korčok confirmed that he receives a payment equivalent to an MP’s salary for his work in the party. The payments have so far been invoiced through a company owned by his wife, which was reported by the news portal Aktuality.sk. Korčok said he chose this arrangement because he did not want to be listed as part of any private company while working as a politician. He added that, to avoid further doubts about transparency, he will set up his own trade licence and receive payments directly from PS.
