The opposition remains divided over the idea of forming a joint electoral bloc. Progresívne Slovensko´ proposal has so far failed to gain wider support, with SaS, KDH and the Hungarian Alliance all planning to run independently. Meanwhile, independent MP Jana Bittó Cigániková and former SaS leader Richard Sulík are discussing possible electoral cooperation with Boris Kollár's Sme rodina. A decision is expected by September.
