Slovakia and Norway have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening political dialogue and expanding cooperation in security, the economy and projects funded through the European Economic Area and Norway Grants.
The issue was discussed during a farewell meeting between Slovak State Secretary Rastislav Chovanec and Norwegian Ambassador Susan Eckey, who is concluding her diplomatic mission. The two sides also discussed trade, defence and broader European issues.
According to the Slovak Foreign Ministry, education remains an important pillar of bilateral relations. Nearly 400 Norwegian students are currently studying medicine and veterinary medicine in Slovakia, while several hundred graduates of Jessenius Faculty of Medicine now work in Norway's healthcare system.
